The Nespresso coffee machine makes delicious coffee at the touch of a button.

To ensure your coffee tastes great and is fun to brew every time, we recommend cleaning your coffee maker regularly. In fact, in the coffee world, they say that if you keep your machine clean, you know what coffee quality to expect.

So how do you clean your Nespresso coffee machine?

  1. The water quality has a big impact on the taste of your coffee. You should therefore rinse the water tank regularly and fill it with fresh water every day.
  2. Empty the drip tray and used the capsule container daily. Rinse with warm water and dry with a dry towel.
  3. Clean the coffee spout regularly with a damp cloth.
  4. Clean the surface of your coffee machine regularly with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth.

Every time you turn on your machine, flush the internal system: simply place a cup or bowl under the coffee spout and squeeze the lungs button (at this point there should be no capsule in the coffee maker).

The remaining impurities are removed by the flowing water.

Cleaning the milk system of a Nespresso coffee machine

Cleaning the milk system of a Nespresso coffee machine

If you are a fan of coffee drinks with milk, you have undoubtedly chosen a Nespresso coffee machine with a milk frother.

And no matter whether it is the immaculate aeroccino Milk frother, den Lattissima milk container or the graceful one studio milk frother, you need to be extra careful with these parts. After all, we want to enjoy the velvety froth of fresh milk every time we drink a milk beverage, which is why cleaning the milk system is a must.

Regular cleaning of the milk system also prevents the growth of bacteria that could spoil the drink or even cause various gastrointestinal problems. So let’s take a look at the cleaning functions of the Nespresso milk systems.

cleaning of aeroccino milk frother

To remove milk residues, it is important to clean the blender after each use. Just follow a few simple steps:

  1. Before you begin, unplug the power cord and allow the device to cool down.
  2. Remove the lid and take off the whisk. Thoroughly clean the inside of the frothing nozzle with a damp, non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse the whisk, gasket and lid under warm water.
  3. Thoroughly clean the inside of the frother with a damp, non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Note that the frother is not dishwasher safe and should not be submerged in water.
  4. Dry all parts of your aeroccino with a clean kitchen towel, rag, or paper towel, then reassemble.

With these four easy steps, you will prevent milk residue from sticking to the walls of your milk frother and enjoy the perfect milk froth every time you feel like it.

Cleaning the milk tank Nespresso Rapid Cappuccino systems

In order to properly maintain this milk tank, you must run the automatic rinsing program after each use and clean the tank manually.

  1. When you’re done brewing a drink, the cleaning icon will turn orange, letting you know that the Rapid cappuccino system needs to be flushed.
  2. Place an empty container under the coffee spout and turn the milk froth adjustment knob to the Clean position or press the cleaning button (depending on the model).
  3. The appliance starts rinsing the milk system: hot water mixed with steam is dispensed from the milk spout.
  4. When the rinsing process is finished, it is automatically stopped.

If you have kept the milk tank at room temperature for more than 30 minutes or left it in the fridge for more than 2 days without using it, you should clean the tank in the dishwasher.

If you don’t have a dishwasher at home, you can also clean the tank manually. Just follow these steps:

  1. Build this Rapid cappuccino system apart.
  2. Thoroughly wash off the milk residue with hot drinking water (40 °C).
  3. Use a sponge to remove any visible dirt.
  4. Soak all parts in hot potable water (40°C) with a mild detergent for at least 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with hot potable water (40°C). Avoid scented cleaning products.
  5. Clean the inside of the milk container, the milk spout connection and the knob on the milk froth regulator with a mild detergent and rinse them under hot drinking water (40 °C).*Make sure the air inlet is clean to make frothing smoother.
  6. Dry all parts with a clean towel, rag, or paper towel.

To keep your milk system sparkling clean, we recommend purchasing the “For Better Coffee” all-purpose milk system cleaner. Mix this cleaner with water at a ratio of 1:10 and use it as a mild detergent.

You can also soak the components of the milk system in this solution, effortlessly removing milk residue.
